It was raining when I got up on Saturday morning and the forecast was for it to get worse. Sure enough, when I arrived at Dave's house it was absolutely bucketing down, hence the shot of him wistfully gazing out of a rain-covered window (inspired by the David Bailey shot on the cover of Mike Oldfield's album "Ommadawn", in case you were wondering)!
It must be every bride's worst nightmare to wake up to that kind of weather but Jane certainly wasn't going to let it spoil her day.
The rain persisted all day so there was no chance of doing any photos outside. Fortunately, a combination of interesting features in the hotel and some handy camera techniques, learnt by having to deal with similarly restricted circumstances at previous weddings, meant that we got plenty of nice shots of Jane & Dave and their guests in the bag.
The evening reception featured Beatles tribute band Tragical History Tour with Dave guesting on lead guitar (and very impressive he was too!).
Over all, a thoroughly entertaining day and a good exercise in dealing with adverse weather conditions.
Congratulations, best wishes and Ooompah! Ooompah! Stick it up your jumper! to Jane & Dave.
