Dumbleton Hall Wedding | Alison & Sam

Ceremony: St Mary's Church, Childswickham, Worcestershire
Reception: Dumbleton Hall, Evesham, Worcestershire

Second-shooting with Gav Harrison

I was really looking forward to the trip down to Evesham. It's an area I know quite well because we used to visit regularly and I cycled round there when I was a kid.
I started at Ali & Sam's house, photographing Sam getting ready with the boys and Jess the dog, while Gav was with Ali and the girls, before heading to the pub in Childswickham village for a swift one to steady the nerves (Sam, not me).

The ceremony was held in the beautiful old village church of St Mary. The best man had Tippexed the words "Help Me" onto the soles of Sam's shoes and was chuckling to himself as Sam & Ali knelt at the altar. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone else could see it so they must have wondered what he was laughing about.

From there we made our way to the magnificent Dumbleton Hall, an imposing 19th century Cotswold stone building set in extensive parkland. The gardens were a sea of daffodils and although it was slightly chilly, Ali & Sam were happy to wander around the grounds for a few photos, which you can see on Gav's blog post.

Although it was a very long day with an awful lot of travelling, I really enjoyed our first Worcestershire wedding and we had a right laugh with Ali & Sam. It's great to be back in the saddle for 2015!

Thanks to Ali & Sam for letting us share your special day and congratulations!
