Walton Hall Wedding: Claire & Chris

Ceremony: Waterton Park Hotel, Waterton Park, Wakefield
Reception: Walton Hall, Waterton Park, Wakefield

It is important that I maintain a professional image at all times. I will, therefore, not be making the obvious comment about the two ceramic objects in the foreground of the above photo, ahem!!!!!

OK, I know I go on about the weather but in my defence, it had been raining all week and the forecast wasn't great but yet again, when it came to it, the sun shone and it was lovely and warm.
Walton Hall is a truly unique venue, as it sits on a small island surrounded by a large lake, offering plenty of stunning locations for photos and plenty of ducks to keep the kids amused.

Bagden Hall Wedding: Kirsty & Phil

Ceremony: Purlwell St Andrew's Church, Batley, West Yorkshire
Reception: Bagden Hall, Siscett, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Wow! What lovely day for a wedding! There was a full house at Phil's, with his best man, his parents and all the ushers, so there was a lot going on. The weather was glorious, so we did all the preparation shots in the garden. Phil was trying his best to look cool and calm but by the time the car arrived, he was a bag of nerves.

Kirsty & Phil had asked for a photo-free ceremony so it made quite a change to be able to sit in the congregation with the pressure off, although it is an unusually light and airy church which would have lent itself well to some really nice shots. What is more, Phil's Dad had done a fantastic job creating all the floral decorations!

Last time I was at Bagden Hall, there was snow everywhere and there was a biting wind. It was a totally different place with the sun out and the flowers in bloom, although I have to say it's a stunning venue any time of the year.

The evening entertainment was provided by in-house DJ, Gary Lay and the band Reflections, who pop up regularly at weddings in the area.

Congratulations to Kirsty & Phil and thanks for a really enjoyable day.
