Amy was unbelievably relaxed about everything when I arrived to take some shots of her getting ready but then when you can get your Dad to sort all the little things out, like washing up, it leaves you to get on with the important things. I thought the third pic below really summed up what it was like there at that particular time. Note the cat in the background!
Amy & Andy opted for a small gathering of friends and family at the Mid Yorkshire Golf Club in Darrington for their wedding and the reception was a sophisticated afternoon tea, complete with mountains of cucumber sandwiches & scones.
Being November, it was a bit nippy outside and got dark very early, so there wasn't a lot of opportunity for outdoor shots but we managed to get out for a short while as the sun was going down,
The guests at the evening reception thought they were at an engagement party and had no idea that Amy & Andy had already tied the knot (until the DJ gave it away). Amy's Dad was supposed to make an announcement but most of the guests had guessed what was going on by then. It didn't stop everyone (especially Amy) having a fantastic time.
Congratulations and a big thank you to Amy & Andy for letting me share their special day.
A massive thank you to Amy & Andy for these kind words:
ReplyDelete"An amazing day made all the more special by our fantastic photographer.
Andrew, you captured so many special moments that we can now treasure forever. Fun and laughter were at the centre of our day - surrounded by love - and our photos really do show that.
From getting ready in the morning (having fun) to the ceremony (having fun) and afternoon tea (having fun) to dancing the night away (really having fun)! You really caught this. You listened and understood what we wanted.
It was a pleasure having such a kind man with true dedication and talent, share our special day with us and, not only that, but freeze it in time too.
Thank you. Amy & Andy"
