Ceremony & Reception: Falcon Manor, Settle, North Yorkshire
Second-shooting with Gav Harrison
I arranged to meet Chris at The Wheatsheaf in the beautiful Dales village of Ingleton (if you're ever in the area, the waterfalls walk is spectacular).
Chris' first job was to open a present from Toni, which contained all sorts of little personal gifts including a pair of luck pants. Don't tell anyone but he got a bit emotional (it's moments like that which make this lob such a joy).
Chris' Dad's Army training came in useful when he was roped in to iron the shirts (see what you think of his technique below).
It's been a few years since I was last at Falcon Manor. Gaynor and I spent New Year there with a group of friends. At the time the hotel was in the process of changing hands and was a bit tired and in need of a bit (well, a lot) of TLC. I have to say, though, we had a fantastic time there so I was keen to see what the new management had done with the place. I wasn't disappointed. They've done an amazing job of bringing the old place back to life and, in so doing, created a magical wedding venue set in the unique Yorkshire Dales landscape.
Thankfully, the Dales weather was kind to us (between the showers) and we were able to make use of the gardens for the group photos and some lovely intimate portraits of Toni & Chris.
