I was particularly drawn to the light on the luxuriant moss-covered dry stone walls, the rusty railings and beautiful wrought iron Victorian field gates, which are built in a style particular to the village. It was great to see one fully restored but not so good to see another in a state of disrepair.
I only had my camera with the 24-70mm lens with me, no tripod and the light wasn't great most of the time so the depth of field on some of these shots isn't what it could be but I thoroughly enjoyed the walk and I'd recommend it to anyone.
It's prompted me to seek out as many of those gates as I can find.
