I met Sami and the lads at the best man Jamie's house, just around the corner from The Mansion. Sami & Lucy had bought each of the lads a hip flask, which Sami had thoughtfully filled, much to the lads' delight.
When I'd been there a while, the wedding car drew up outside. It was Herbie the VW Beetle, a childhood favourite of Sami's. When we got to The Mansion, the chauffeur asked Sami if he fancied having a drive in Herbie and, of course, Sami jumped at the chance.
In keeping with the VW theme, Lucy arrived in a pristine camper van.
It was unseasonably warm all day, which meant we were able to make the most of the beautiful autumnal surroundings of Roundhay Park for some nice intimate pictures of Sami & Lucy, accompanied everywhere by loads of ladybirds.
As always, the food, by Dine caterers, was amazing and the evening finished with a rousing set from local band Vibetown, who had everyone up on the dance floor from the first song.
A fantastic day with a wonderful couple at a beautiful venue. Congratulations to Lucy & Sami and thank you for choosing us to photography your special day.
